Salvia, Red Jewel

Salvia coccinea

Full Sun

Blooms Late Spring to Fall

16”-20” Tall

Plant 12”-16” apart

A robust and beautiful plant that is heat and drought tolerant, bounces back from the wind and the rain, and is an absolute magnet to hummingbirds and pollinators. Loads of fire engine red flowers borne on lots of stems provides a dense stand of color with even a few plants. Summer Jewel is a Native to N. America and withstands a variety of  conditions but does best in fertile well drained soil with even moisture.  Does well in containers
