Red Russian Kale is a Siberian heirloom that was brought to North America in the 1800’s. It has bee grown and loved for its tenderness, sweetness, delicate flavor, and early harvests. Red Russian Kale has purple stems with green flat leaves and purple veins. This variety keeps its flavor during warm weather and can also tolerate the cold.
